We reach your house down the same Openreach cables they use, so there's nothing to dig up. You tell us to go ahead and we deal with your old provider. Don't cancel anything yourself, because that's how people end up with a gap.

Your phone number comes with you. Your line will run over broadband whoever you're with, so it needs power. If anyone in the house relies on that phone, say so when you order and the battery backup is free.
